This product works best when combined with our wheel and axle polishing kit. When WS2 is properly applied it creates a .5 micron coating on the axle shaft that is actually bonded at a molecular level. This is why time must be taken to properly work the tungsten disulfide into to axle. Another interesting property of Tungsten Disulfide is it wonâ€™t build up on itself like other dry lubricants. Because of its unique molecular structure and very small partial size, the material simply slips on itself. Due to its ability to stay only .5 microns thin on a surface, we urge you to get our Wheel and Axle Polishing Kit to pre the surface since the Tungsten Disulfide will retain the surface features of the screw and wheel, no matter how minute.
